Walk Around Disney Springs 
Want some Disney magic without having to pay for a theme park ticket?
Spend some time walking around Disney Springs, the newly reimagined
entertainment district with remarkable architecture, natural beauty and free
family fun that includes live performances and other entertaining interludes.
Window shop at some amazing stores, enjoy cutting-edge entertainment and dine
at unique restaurants while still feeling the Disney magic. For instance, kids
can build as many LEGO figures as they want at The LEGO Store, and the whole
gang can hop on the free ferries that travel to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT and
Disney’s Hollywood Studios — even if you don’t have passes to those theme
parks! Parking is free, and there’s certainly no shortage of fun to be had!
Disney's BoardWalk 
Located within walking distance of EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood
Studios, and featuring free admission, Disney’s BoardWalk will transport you to
charming, turn-of-the-20th-century Atlantic City. As you stroll along a Coney
Island-style boardwalk, take in free evening entertainment that includes
jugglers, comedians and even fire-eaters. Like Disney Springs, it’s connected
to Disney’s complimentary ferry system.
Spend a Day at Celebration 
Visit the Disney-made town of Celebration! Stroll around the gorgeous
natural Florida walking trails, marvel at the beautiful homes and experience
the magic of Disney living. Depending on what time of year you visit, you can
see a one-of-a-kind light display on Jeater Bend or snow fall on the streets!
Spending a day exploring Celebration is one of the best free and cheap things
to do in Orlando!
Take a Trip to the Beach 
Orlando’s central location is great for venturing to either coast for
the beaches! Cocoa beach is a great option for families with tons of parking,
picnic tables and miles of beautiful beach to enjoy. Drive to the Gulf-side
beaches to experience the gorgeous Clearwater beach and spend a fun day in a
beach town.
Hang out at ICON Park 
Visit International Drive for an endless amount of attractions,
entertainment and fun! The brand new entertainment complex called ICON Park is
home to the iconic 400-foot Orlando Eye observation wheel, Madame Tussaud’s wax
museum, Sealife Aquarium and more. While you do have to pay for entry to the
attractions, parking and the complex is free to enter.
Universal CityWalk 
CityWalk, located at Universal Studios Orlando, is a fun entertainment
district. Parking is free after 6 pm, and there is no shortage of fun to be had
at CityWalk! Sing your heart out at Rising Star Karaoke or enjoy a delicious
Margarita straight from Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. See a movie or play a
round of mini-golf! Free activities include dance parties set to live DJ sets,
cooling splash areas for kids, and water taxis that travel between Universal CityWalk
and Universal Orlando’s theme parks, including Universal Studios Florida,
Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Universal’s Volcano Bay.
United States Tennis Association (USTA) National Campus 
The USTA National Campus in Lake Nona, about 20 minutes from Orlando
International Airport, offers an exciting way to enjoy tennis with top-notch
facilities, a wide range of events that are free to attend, and 100 fully lit
tennis courts. What’s more, the 60- and 30-foot courts at the Nemours Family
Zone are free for all ages to play, but pre-registration is required.
West Orange Trail 
This 20.8-mile paved trail runs from Winter Garden near Walt Disney
World to Apopka, to the west of Orlando’s main tourism districts. Hiking and
biking is free, and the trail also features playground equipment and other
amenities. If you didn’t bring bicycles with you, you can rent them from West
Orange Trail Bikes & Blades Co., which offers delivery to area hotels.
Lake Eola Park 
This popular local attraction is actually an 80-foot sink
hole-turned-lake. Located in downtown Orlando, it’s the perfect thing to do for
an active traveler. Run, jog, or bike along the path that circles the lake.
Feed the iconic swans and other birds that populate the park, enjoy the views
of the charming flowers, or pack a picnic. It’s a refreshing respite from urban
Orlando with over 40 acres to explore
Kelly Park, Rock Springs 
While admission to this gorgeous, 248-acre park comes with a small
fee, it’s totally worth the meager price of admission to explore the bounty of
flora and fauna that populate the park. There are plenty of opportunities for
camping, hiking, observing wildlife, swimming in natural springs, and
participating in plenty of fun recreational activities like volleyball,
Frisbee, and more. Be sure to pop in the famous Rock Springs to cool off!
